Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Under Arms Waxing.

Hair should be about 1/4 inch (approximately 6mm) so the wax can grip effectively. If it's too short, waxing won't remove hair cleanly; if too long, we may trim slightly during your appointment.

Proper waxing shouldn't cause lasting darkening. Temporary redness is normal and typically fades within hours. Persistent pigmentation may result from previous irritation; we recommend gentle care and a patch test for sensitive skin.

Typically every 3–6 weeks depending on personal hair growth. Regular waxing often slows regrowth and can lengthen intervals. We'll advise the ideal timing at your visit based on your individual growth patterns.

Some discomfort is normal, especially on first sessions, but it is brief. To reduce sensitivity avoid caffeine, consider over-the-counter pain relief if appropriate, exfoliate beforehand, and relax. Our technicians use techniques to minimize pain.

If skin is inflamed, sunburned, or broken, we recommend postponing until healed. For sensitive skin we perform a patch test and use gentler products. Always disclose allergies and medications prior to waxing.

Avoid hot showers, heavy exercise, chlorinated pools and tight clothing for 24 hours. Apply soothing aloe or fragrance-free moisturizer and gently exfoliate after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.
