Get answers to common questions about Brazilian Waxing (Women).
Trim or let hair grow to about a quarter inch (five to seven days) before your appointment. Avoid heavy exfoliation, tanning, or topical retinoids for several days. Arrive clean and relaxed; avoid caffeine to minimize sensitivity.
No — waxing removes hair from the root, so regrowth typically appears finer and softer. Regular Brazilian waxing can reduce visible density over time. Shaving cuts hair at the skin and can feel coarser; waxing encourages smoother, less noticeable regrowth.
Some discomfort is normal, especially during early sessions, but most clients find it quick and tolerable. We use calming techniques, quick strips, and can apply topical numbing creams on request. Avoid caffeine and heavy exercise before your appointment to reduce sensitivity.
Smooth results typically last three to six weeks depending on your hair growth cycle and individual hormones. Regular appointments lengthen intervals and soften regrowth. Book follow-ups every four to six weeks for consistent smoothness and optimal hair reduction results.
Certain conditions require caution: open wounds, active infections, sunburn, recent chemical peels, or isotretinoin use. Inform us about medications, blood-thinning treatments, pregnancy, or diabetes. Our therapist will assess and advise whether waxing is safe or if alternatives are preferable.
Aftercare prevents irritation: avoid hot baths, saunas, heavy exercise and tight clothing for twenty-four to forty-eight hours. Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer or aloe to soothe skin. Wait forty-eight hours before exfoliating or sun exposure and contact us with any concerns.
