Get answers to common questions about Microblading Touchup.
Book the initial corrective touch-up 4–8 weeks after your original microblading to perfect healing results. For maintenance refreshes, most clients return every 12–18 months depending on fading, skin type, and sun exposure. We'll assess and recommend a personalized schedule.
Discomfort is minimal. We apply a topical numbing agent before and during the session to reduce pain. You may feel light pressure or slight scratching sensations, but most clients describe it as tolerable. Aftercare eases any residual sensitivity.
Appointments typically last 45–90 minutes depending on extent of work: quick color refreshes at the shorter end, reshaping or density adjustments take longer. Your artist will consult first, measure, and map brows to ensure precise, efficient results within the scheduled time.
Avoid caffeine, alcohol, blood-thinning medications, aspirin, and heavy exercise 24–48 hours prior. Skip facials, chemical peels, and Botox near the brow area for two weeks. Arrive with makeup removed and inform your artist of any skincare treatments or medications.
Keep brows dry for 7–10 days, avoid sweating, swimming, saunas, and direct sun. Apply recommended ointment sparingly, avoid picking scabs, and gently cleanse as instructed. Proper aftercare ensures optimal pigment retention and color evenness; follow your artist's written guidelines closely.
The goal is enhancement, not drastic change. Touch-ups refine shape and refresh pigment to match your existing design. If you want shape adjustments, discuss options during consultation; minor refinements are common, but any major redesign may require a full correction appointment.
